How to export and upload your trades

    1. Open Portfolio → Transactions and select the account and full relevant period.
    2. Export the transaction history as Excel. Keep a copy of the original workbook.
    3. For FiscalFox Ireland, keep the Trades table on one sheet and save it as CSV, including identifiers, dates, quantities, amounts and currency.
    4. Upload the single-table file using Saxo. Check the recognised columns and review the selected tax year.

Prepare the trade table supported by the Irish reader

Saxo’s portfolio interface allows transaction-history exports. The FiscalFox Ireland route uses assisted column recognition on a CSV or single-sheet trade table. A multi-section report with cash, subtotals and trades mixed together is a different layout.

Retain ISINs, trade dates, quantities, buy/sell direction, cash amounts, fees and currencies. Save the original workbook before making the single-table copy so the extracted records remain reconcilable.

Keep cash and corporate-action statements alongside the trades

A trade-only export is not a complete dividend or interest statement. Retain Saxo’s income and corporate-action records separately, especially where a transfer or share reorganisation changes the units or acquisition evidence.

FiscalFox recognises the source columns and extracts the supported trades using deterministic code. Check the import result against the table. A successful trade import does not establish that every income record was included.

Include earlier purchases and other brokers

A sale in the selected year can depend on a purchase in an earlier one. Export all periods needed to establish the acquisition lots and previous disposals. Keep original purchase records for holdings transferred from another provider.

Identify the investment using its exact security evidence. A local ticker or the currency of the trade is not, on its own, proof of company-share or fund treatment. Use the related guides to reconcile a mixed history.

Review the euro result before preparing the return

Inspect each share disposal and its matched cost in euro, including recorded dealing costs. Keep a separate fund schedule where the legal fund regime applies and income statements where dividends or interest need reporting.

Download the computation, disposal workings and source backup after reviewing the affected year. The Irish supporting pack is currently free. FiscalFox does not submit the return or make the tax payment.

    Questions and answers

Can I use only the Saxo profit summary?

Use transaction-level purchases and sales so matched costs, quantities and dated euro values can be checked.

Should I include history before the year of sale?

Yes, where it supports the acquisition costs, earlier disposals or transfers behind your selected-year result.
