Choose the supported trade export
The Australian reader recognises Pearler’s Trade Date, Trade Type, Symbol, Quantity, Price, Exchange, Reference and Brokerage Fee. Timestamped rows are assigned their Sydney trading day.
Complete the Pearler records
US share prices and AUD brokerage in the same export are different currencies. Enter those trades in the FiscalFox trade list with the correct currency and fee records; a single cash currency would misstate the AUD cost.

Calculate the Australian income year
Include the acquisitions behind the year’s sales, even when you bought years earlier. FiscalFox keeps parcels and their dates, converts covered foreign trades to AUD and applies capital losses before any current-rule discount.
Review the affected year’s results and download the item 18 workings. The 50% discount applies to qualifying resident-individual gains under the rules through 30 June 2027; holdings that cross the reform date also need their transition valuation.

Questions and answers
Which Pearler file does FiscalFox need?
Download Historical trades as CSV and retain its original columns. It gives the transaction date, symbol, quantity, price and brokerage needed for each purchase parcel.
Is the Pearler profit figure my Australian taxable gain?
Use it as a cross-check. Australian CGT depends on the parcels, original costs, AUD conversions, capital losses and applicable discount; the calculator rebuilds those figures from the records.
Do I need earlier purchases as well as this year’s sales?
Yes, whenever a sale uses shares bought before the income year. Include the original acquisitions and any relevant transfers, reinvestments or fund cost base adjustments.
