- Saxo Australia is now Totality. In Totality Edge, go to Portfolio › Transactions and filter to Trades.
- Choose Export, tick Include details, and export to Excel from your first purchase to today.
- Open the Australian calculator with your broker selected and add the original CSV or Excel files. Review the income year you need and download the workings.
Choose the supported workbook
FiscalFox reads the transaction workbook rather than relying on the broker’s reported FIFO profit. Keep trade dates, symbols, units, amounts, currencies and fees intact; its Australian calculation follows the parcels used for each sale.
Complete the Saxo / Totality records
A PDF portfolio report or cash balance does not provide the complete acquisition history. Where the platform cannot export the needed detail, enter the contract-note trades in the FiscalFox trade list and keep the originals.
Calculate the Australian income year
Include the acquisitions behind the year’s sales, even when you bought years earlier. FiscalFox keeps parcels and their dates, converts covered foreign trades to AUD and applies capital losses before any current-rule discount.
Review the affected year’s results and download the item 18 workings. The 50% discount applies to qualifying resident-individual gains under the rules through 30 June 2027; holdings that cross the reform date also need their transition valuation.

Questions and answers
Which Saxo / Totality file does FiscalFox need?
Use the detailed Transactions Excel export from your Australian Saxo or Totality account. Report menu names can differ by platform; choose transaction details that include the actual trades and costs.
Is the Saxo / Totality profit figure my Australian taxable gain?
Use it as a cross-check. Australian CGT depends on the parcels, original costs, AUD conversions, capital losses and applicable discount; the calculator rebuilds those figures from the records.
Do I need earlier purchases as well as this year’s sales?
Yes, whenever a sale uses shares bought before the income year. Include the original acquisitions and any relevant transfers, reinvestments or fund cost base adjustments.
