Upload your broker fileDownload and add your SelfWealth history
- Log in on the SelfWealth website and go to Trading Account › Reports.
- Look for a Movements or trade-history CSV covering your first purchase onward. If your reports are only annual PDFs, enter their trades in the FiscalFox trade list.
- Open the Australian calculator with your broker selected and add the original CSV or Excel files. Review the income year you need and download the workings.

The native Movements reader recognises Trade Date, Action, Code, Units, Average Price, Consideration, Total, Reference and Brokerage. Transfer-in and transfer-out rows need their original acquisition evidence.
Complete the SelfWealth records
If your account provides only annual PDFs, copy the actual acquisitions and sales into the FiscalFox trade list. A transferred holding needs its earlier broker history, not its value when it arrived.

Calculate the Australian income year
Include the acquisitions behind the year’s sales, even when you bought years earlier. FiscalFox keeps parcels and their dates, converts covered foreign trades to AUD and applies capital losses before any current-rule discount.
Review the affected year’s results and download the item 18 workings. The 50% discount applies to qualifying resident-individual gains under the rules through 30 June 2027; holdings that cross the reform date also need their transition valuation.

Questions and answers
Which SelfWealth file does FiscalFox need?
Use the Movements trade-history CSV when available. The Cash Account report records money movements and cannot replace quantities and acquisition dates.
Is the SelfWealth profit figure my Australian taxable gain?
Use it as a cross-check. Australian CGT depends on the parcels, original costs, AUD conversions, capital losses and applicable discount; the calculator rebuilds those figures from the records.
Do I need earlier purchases as well as this year’s sales?
Yes, whenever a sale uses shares bought before the income year. Include the original acquisitions and any relevant transfers, reinvestments or fund cost base adjustments.
