Download and add your Stake history

    1. On the web, open your profile (top right) › Tax & reporting › Financial year reports. In the app, go to Manage › Settings › Tax & reporting.
    2. Download the Investment activity statement as XLSX for each financial year you traded in, and add each file as it is. FiscalFox reads both the Aus Equities and Wall St Equities sheets.
    3. Open the Australian calculator with your broker selected and add the original CSV or Excel files. Review the income year you need and download the workings.

FiscalFox reads the Aus Equities and Wall St Equities sheets. Trade dates, units, currency, fees and total values stay with their source rows; foreign trades are calculated in AUD using dated FX evidence.

    Complete the Stake records

Stake’s Other activity statement contains transfers and US corporate actions. Keep it alongside the import and record the relevant events separately; the trade workbook alone does not recreate them.

    Calculate the Australian income year

Include the acquisitions behind the year’s sales, even when you bought years earlier. FiscalFox keeps parcels and their dates, converts covered foreign trades to AUD and applies capital losses before any current-rule discount.

Review the affected year’s results and download the item 18 workings. The 50% discount applies to qualifying resident-individual gains under the rules through 30 June 2027; holdings that cross the reform date also need their transition valuation.

    Questions and answers

Which Stake file does FiscalFox need?

Choose the Investment activity statement in XLSX, not the valuation summary or cash transactions statement. The workbook carries the actual share acquisitions and disposals.

Is the Stake profit figure my Australian taxable gain?

Use it as a cross-check. Australian CGT depends on the parcels, original costs, AUD conversions, capital losses and applicable discount; the calculator rebuilds those figures from the records.

Do I need earlier purchases as well as this year’s sales?

Yes, whenever a sale uses shares bought before the income year. Include the original acquisitions and any relevant transfers, reinvestments or fund cost base adjustments.
