Choose the supported trade export
FiscalFox’s Superhero reader handles the transaction statement’s buys and sells, with its charges and currency. Preserve the original export so duplicate rows and source references can be checked.
Complete the Superhero records
Superhero makes separate AMMA statements available for fund holdings. Add the relevant annual fund figures as well as trade history; sale records do not supply attributed income or annual cost base adjustments.

Calculate the Australian income year
Include the acquisitions behind the year’s sales, even when you bought years earlier. FiscalFox keeps parcels and their dates, converts covered foreign trades to AUD and applies capital losses before any current-rule discount.
Review the affected year’s results and download the item 18 workings. The 50% discount applies to qualifying resident-individual gains under the rules through 30 June 2027; holdings that cross the reform date also need their transition valuation.

Questions and answers
Which Superhero file does FiscalFox need?
Download a Transaction Statement as CSV for the complete period. A tax summary or portfolio valuation is useful evidence but does not replace the trade rows.
Is the Superhero profit figure my Australian taxable gain?
Use it as a cross-check. Australian CGT depends on the parcels, original costs, AUD conversions, capital losses and applicable discount; the calculator rebuilds those figures from the records.
Do I need earlier purchases as well as this year’s sales?
Yes, whenever a sale uses shares bought before the income year. Include the original acquisitions and any relevant transfers, reinvestments or fund cost base adjustments.
